Top 5 Countries with significant barriers to internet access

North Korea

North Korea has one of the most restricted internet landscapes globally.  Citizens generally don't have access to the global internet but can use a heavily censored domestic intranet.

Turkmenistan

The internet in Turkmenistan is tightly controlled by the government, with limited access and filtering of websites and content.

Myanmar (Burma)

Internet access in Eritrea is extremely limited, with the government maintaining a monopoly on internet service providers (ISPs) and strict control over information flow.

South Sudan

South Sudan faces a combination of infrastructural limitations and government restrictions, leading to very low internet penetration rates.
